Fragrance Review: Commodity Wool

Today I will be reviewing Commodity Wool

Availability: I was able to find this product on the following websites: sephora.com as well as its respective physical store locations along with commoditygoods.com. Pricing is as follows:
.33 oz - $24
3.4 oz - $99
Would I buy this?: Probably not.

Commodity caught my attention because of their really interesting names - tea, gin, mimosa, book... oh how I longed for book... we'll get to that in a few reviews so hold tight.
Now that I'm perusing the site I'm curious about paper and rain. I think I prefer the white collection which is meant to be more lightweight and lighthearted whereas the black collection features darker, deeper, more intense and moody scents.
Ok you guys, their website allows you to buy a set of all 10 scents as samples and pick whichever you like best in a mini-spray ($24), three mini-sprays ($48), or a full-sized bottle ($99), what a killer idea and you can get 15% off your first order through the site... hmmm... I think more of these might be in my future. Just to let you guys know I did receive the 10-scent trial kit at work and will be reviewing the 10 main scents (although they've released a new one, Magnolia, which isn't in here)
All the scents are unisex and all are eau de parfum strength.
To quote from fragrantica.com, here are the fragrance notes:
Top: Mandarin Orange, Apple, Grapefruit
Mid: Lavender, Sage, Ivy
Base: Amber, Haitain Vetiver, Gray Musk, Bourbon Vanilla
Smelling it straight out of the bottle I get the lavender right away, there's a citrusy background to this but I feel that the lavender in here overpowers everything else.
Freshly applied...I get a mixture of the lavender and sage... it's very green and pungent to my nose. As this dries down I get a lot of the sage... which I think keeps it smelling rather masculine and fresh. I really like this scent on skin because on paper it smells rather... not as nice? Haha.
In terms of wear, I've had this for 7 hours now and faintly smell a woodsy scent. Possibly the musk.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thanks!
