I started using this mineral foundation some days back. I got two samples of Lumiere Cashmere foundation - Medium warm and Light medium warm. The shade Light medium warm was a bit too lighter for my skin tone and Medium warm was something that suited me a lot. The mineral foundation has extremely fine texture and I like it a lot for the matte finish that it gives to me, which continues to stay that way for a good duration. However, there are also certain things which I didn't like much about this mineral foundation too. For complete review check out more details below:

If you've ever played "Holi" in your life, you might understand well about how I am going to describe this foundation here. The texture is very fine and the way it works on my skin right from the coverage to its smell, reminds me a lot about "gulal". The foundation gives a good coverage to my skin, provided I spend good amount of time making it blend on my skin. However, after working for sometime the finish it gives to my skin is something I definitely love a lot. A natural matte finish, perfect for office wear! I was quite amazed to see that the effect stayed that way for around 6-7 hours and I didn't have to do any touch ups in between.

Likes:
1) The texture is super fine and gives a good coverage.
2) I like the finish it gives to my oily-combination skin - A nice natural matte finish.
3) The staying power of this foundation is amazing. In morning, whenever I get ready in rush, I usually start sweating. This foundation managed to stay on my face during that time and continued that way without looking cakey for as long as 6-7 hours while I stay in AC.
4) Quite affordable for the price and quantity you get.
5) It didn't break me out, nor did it create any allergic reactions to me skin.
Dislikes:
1) I don't like its gulal like fragrance, though its quite muted but noticeable.
2) The texture is very fine and has a tendency to create mess around every time I try to use it. Also the powder is quite (thick and opaque!! ??) dense and needs to be worked on for sometime to make it blend properly on my skin. You definitely would have to spend some time on this and can't just pat it on and leave, as might look streaky and give a cakey look to your face.
3) Availability can be a problem as you won't be able to find it at all stores currently, but you can order it from their website here.
4) Getting a perfect shade from viewing online catalogue can be a problem. For my NC 37(MAC) too the shade “Medium warm” is a bit lighter and I have mixed them both with a darker Catrice powder to get my perfect shade.
Overall verdict:
Despite the weird smell and super fine texture, I like the finish it gives to my skin. The best thing I've found about this foundation is its amazing staying power and the way it copes up with all the oil and sweat. It gives a good decent coverage that is medium, provided you spare some good amount of time in blending it thoroughly into your skin. I don't have too many spots or pigmentation to cover so for me it works fine.
