My experience with this oil
It’s been a long time since I’ve used any hair-oil. My hectic lifestyle and lazy nature just don't allow me to use any kind of oils on my head. I've been sticking to hair creams since past 1 year now, so when I began using this oil - it was a welcome change in my regular hair care routine. I usually apply this oil on weekends when I stay at home and can spend sometime in pampering myself. This herbal oil smells strongly of amla(gooseberries) oil and coconut oil mixed with lemon juice (I can tell that because my mom used to apply this mixture on my hair when I was a kid). It also reminds me a bit of the mehndi oil (donno why!)
The oil is neither very thick, nor very runny in consistency. It is just decently built to spread on my hair and roots easily, and gets absorbed quickly too. I usually use my hands and fingers to spread the oil on my hair, and also a cotton swab to dab the oil on certain areas on my scalp that have dandruff. I usually don't suffer from dandruff or dryness, but sometimes lack of sleep, unhealthy food and climate changes get me dry and dandruff patches on some areas of my scalp, especially the areas where my scalp joins the skin of my forehead and back of the neck. I like the way how this oil feels cool and relaxing after each application.
I usually apply this oil, keep it for an hour or two and then wash it off with shampoo. It usually requires two rounds of shampoo washing to get off completely, but that depends on your shampoo too. I've tried using both Syoss Professional hair care shampoo and Dove damage therapy shampoo and it just took two rounds of wash to get this oil completely off my hair, so no complains there.
As far as treatment of dandruff is concerned, I don't see much difference there. My scalp usually remains dandruff free for next 3-4 days after I wash my hair and now also it remains the same, so I can't comment much on that action.
I usually don’t suffer from much hairfall, except for may be 10-12 strands while combing each time – that didn’t get reduced from using this, so again I can’t comment on that.
On its claims of making my hair dark and silky, I have not experienced any change so far.
What I really like about this oil is its cooling and relaxing effect. The herbal smell that reminds me of so many good oils definitely makes it a treat for my hair and my senses to use it every time. The herbal effect definitely feels good.
