Christina Aguilera's Fiance: 5 Things to Know About Matt Rutler!

Valentine's Day was especially romantic for Christina Aguilera! The pop diva announced her engagement to boyfriend Matt Rutler on social media, flashing a picture of her gorgeous rock.

The mother of 6-year-old Max was previously married to Jordan Bratman for close to six years before filing for divorce in October 2010. She met Rutler on the set of her 2010 film Burlesque, and they've been inseparable ever since.

Here's five things to know about the production assistant:

1. He's worked on Oscar-nominated films

In addition to working with his Grammy winning wife-to-be on Burlesque, Rutler has also been a production assistant for hit films like The Proposal and Something Borrowed. Rom coms aside, Xtina's fiance has also been a part of acclaimed Academy Award nominees The Town and The Social Network.

2. He went to college in the Ocean State

According to his Facebook page, Rutler attended Roger Williams University -- a private college in Rhode Island.

3. He helped Aguilera through a tough time

Aguilera doesn't open up about her private life often, but Rutler clearly was a good friend to her during her painful divorce from Jordan Bratman. They got to know each other during the filming ofBurlesque, and Rutler was hitting red carpets with Aguilera for the film's worldwide premieres a month after she filed for divorce.

4. He shares a home with her

After Aguilera moved out of her Beverly Hills mansion she shared with Bratman, selling it for $11.5 million, she moved into a new Mulholland Estates mansion in Los Angeles with Rutler and Max, which she bought in April 2013 for $10 million.

5. He's been training for stepfatherhood

Not only does Rutler live with Max, but the family has been spotted out numerous times at school events and on vacation together. The production assistant appeared with Max in the pop diva's music video for her dance hit "Let There Be Love."
